Eat Healthy, Look Healthy and Stay Healthy…

Appearance! Everyone in this world wants to look beautiful and majority of us will be having favorite beauty creams in our wardrobes. Isn’t it? But, you don’t get a beautiful skin by using these fancy products. By eating healthy food, your inner beauty will come out. There is an important relation between what you eat and how you look. Making certain diet changes can help your skin to stay healthy and vibrant.

Eat a diet rich in antioxidants like: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, selenium, Vitamin A. These are nutrients that work to defend your cells (body as well as skin) against the damage of oxidative stress. They are easily available and consumed as they are found in foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and beans.

Food rich in Vitamin C: Blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries, sweet potatoes, mangoes, pineapple, tomatoes, watermelon, they all contain Vitamin-C. They are involved in the production of collagen, which is helpful in keeping the texture of skin firm and smooth.

Eat plenty of food rich in Vitamin E: Almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts, corn oils, olive oils, spinach are rich in vitamin E. Vitamin E guards your skin against damage from the sun’s UV radiation.

Eating food that contains Beta-carotene: Apricots, carrots, red bell peppers, mangoes, pumpkin, and sweet potato. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A in the body which is involved in the growth of new skin and repair of body tissues. Studies say that direct intake of vitamin A is sometimes toxic but foods like these are entirely safe for your skin.

Plenty of Omega-3, Omega-6 Fatty Acids: For Omega-3 -> linseeds, flax oil, walnuts and soyabeans are plant sources.
Sunflower oil and corn oil have a rich content of Omega-6. These healthy fats reduce inflammation throughout the body. (Not considered as antioxidant)

Selenium rich diet: This is best for acne suffering people like me. Cashewnuts, walnuts, wholemeal bread, whole-wheat pasta, mushrooms are all rich in selenium. It gives best result when consumed with Vitamin E.

Eat sulphur-rich diet like garlic and onion, for maintaining your skin smooth.

Food for blood, Add intake of foods like beet-root, carrot, lemon in your diet as it purifies and regenerates the blood.

I missed the most important thing which should come at the top of this article,

Drink as much water as you can. This helps in keeping your body functioning smoothly and most importantly removes the toxins present in the body.
