  1. To cook daal faster, add a pinch of haldi (turmeric powder) and groundnut oil. It will enhance the taste also.
  2. Put 3-4 cloves in sugar box to keep the ants at bay.
  3. To remove tea stains from cups or pans, rub them with salt.
  4. To peel skin of sweet potato/shakarkandi quickly, soak in cold water immediately after boiling.
